# How to Buy \[DEX]

### **1. Create a Stacks wallet**

Download [Xverse wallet](https://www.xverse.app/) from the app store or google play store for free. Desktop users, download the google chrome extension by going to [leather.io](https://leather.io/).

### **2. Get some $STX**

Have $STX in your wallet to switch to $WEN. If you don’t have any $STX, you can buy directly on your wallet, transfer from another wallet, or buy on another exchange and send it to your wallet.

### **3. Go to DEX**

Connect to either Velar or ALEX. Open the DEX of your choice in Google Chrome or on the browser inside your Leather or Xverse app:

Connect your wallet, search the $WEN token, select $WEN, and confirm. When your wallet prompts you for a transaction, click confirm.

### **4. Switch $STX for $WEN**

Switch $STX for $WEN. We have ZERO taxes so you don’t need to worry about buying with a specific slippage, although you may need to use slippage during times of market volatility.
